Just steps from our hotel and the varied menu grabbed our interest. Quaint house transformed into a restaurant. We were able to make reservations same day and found the restaurant completely full when we were seated. Veal marsala & veal picata were very good. Our food was so hot. They must have plated and served it within seconds. Nice wine list. Service was slow, but understandable with a packed house. Busy night with the event in Nevada City (which was nothing but too many people and long lines for everything). Very relaxing here. Best for couples or families without kids. We would return & try some other items - so many to choose from! Large portions.

Found this place almost by accident and we are glad we did. Charming building and individual room seating areas. Service was crisp. Food and wine was authentic. Prices were typical but not excessive by today's standards. We'd go again next time we are in the area.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. The pasta and crepe dishes were delicious, seafood was yummy and I enjoyed the wine. We indulged in the dessert - panna cotta which was light and sweet. All around would recommend this restaurant!

Over the last few months we have dined here three times and always four of us. It has had consistent good service and good food. The tables are a bit close to each other and that may be the function of the architecture of an old Victorian house. It is the only restaurant I know that has Calamari Steaks in the local area and that is what I have ordered each time. Last time I ordered their "on special" Potato Soup. It was OK but it lacked something to be special. Pricing is reasonable. Portions are generous. They have a small private parking lot. We will return
